La Fiesta del Charco in
Puerto de la Aldea honors the way of life of the ancestors of the Canary Islands. This ceremony presents an old fishing technique called embarbascada. Every year, September 11 at 5:00 pm, people in clothes gather around El Charco and then jump into the water with joy and try to catch fish with their hands.
