Funchal

Funchal is the center of the island of Madeira belonging to the territory of Portugal. It is located at the foot of the volcanic mountains and has access to the Atlantic Ocean, which makes it a very picturesque place. The characteristic name of the city comes from fennel (funcho in Portuguese), which densely overgrows the island.
